Wake Up the NYC District Attorney with 1,000 Letters for WTC 7 Legal Action

This is a NYC CAN Initiative (via AE911Truth)

Help NYC CAN show the Manhattan District Attorney just how widespread the desire for a new investigation is. To bring Building 7 fully to the attention of the District Attorney, the goal is to flood the DA’s office with 1,000 letters and faxes per week. The good thing is:

Send just one letter per week in June!

At the beginning of each week, NYC CAN will report how many letters and faxes were sent the previous week! This way we all get to know whether or not we reached our goal. If you are not already signed up at NYCCAN you can sign on now in order to receive these templates each week. It’s free!

This is how it’s going to work:

• At the beginning of each week NYC CAN will send out a template of the letter. Feel free to edit the letter to make it your own, but please be sure to stick to what the letter is saying. The template is available below.

• Copy/paste the letter, edit it as you see fit, and mail or fax it to the District Attorney’s office. We are asking you to mail or fax your letter because the District Attorney’s office asks for complaints to be written.

• Email NYC CAN to let them know you sent your letter so they can record a total for that week.

• Forward this action alert to as many people as possible, post it on blogs, websites, facebook, etc.


Each week we will cover a different topic so that the District Attorney can be comprehensively educated about the destruction of Building 7 in a way that is easy to absorb. The key is to not overwhelm them with all sorts of information. This is how the weeks will go:

I am writing to ask that you open an investigation into the destruction of World Trade Center Building 7, which occurred at around 5:20pm on September 11, 2001. There is overwhelming evidence that Building 7 was demolished with explosives, and that it did not collapse due to office fires as asserted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology in its 2008 report on Building 7.[1] Today, 1,200 architects and engineers, and millions of others like myself, are calling for a new investigation into the destruction of Building 7.

Most people have not seen footage of Building 7’s destruction, or they are unaware that it even occurred. This is perhaps the primary reason there has not been a real investigation to date.

9/11 Myths Exposed: Firefighters, Architects and Engineers Re–investigate the Destruction of the Three World Trade Center Skyscrapers

On September 11th, 2001 the greatest destruction and loss of life associated with the terrorist attacks took place in New York City. After almost nine years and numerous government investigations, many public misconceptions persist about the events of that tragic day, especially regarding the unprecedented destruction of the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan.

During this live multimedia presentation Seattle firefighter Erik Lawyer and SF Bay Area architect Richard Gage, AIA, will examine the myths surrounding the events at the World Trade Center. Using well–documented forensic evidence, news footage and eyewitness accounts, they seek to correct the public record.

Some of the myths they will address:

• Only two towers collapsed that day

• Jet fuel fires melted the structural steel

• The fires were hot enough to weaken the structural steel

• The floors of each building collapsed like “pancakes”

• The government investigations were thorough, complete and followed standard fire investigation procedures

• The government investigators tested for evidence of exotic accelerants and/or explosives

• The third building to collapse completely, WTC 7, suffered significant structural damage from the collapse of the Twin Towers

The presentation will provide a factual rebuttal of these and other myths regarding the destruction of the World Trade Center.

Erik Lawyer is a 14–year veteran of the Seattle Fire Department and the founder of Firefighters for 9/11 Truth, an organization with over 100 firefighters calling for a new investigation into the destruction of the WTC buildings.

We must applaud Mr. Richard Gage and his colleagues, Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, for their tenacity in seeking to answer lingering questions concerning the total destruction of the World Trade Center complex, in particular buildings 1, 2 and 7.

As with any scientific report, conclusions must be able to be replicated and verified by subsequent public peer reviews. Mr. Gage and his colleagues have attempted to do just that with NIST’s Final Report of the Collapse of the WTC. There seem to be discrepancies and omissions in NIST’s conclusions, which Mr. Gage and his colleagues have brought to light.

With their combined professional training and work experience, this group of professionals is uniquely qualified to address the myriad oddities resulting in the collapse of the WTC high-rise buildings – including WTC 7, which was not hit by an airplane. This chosen course of action by the Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, has often come at a high cost to them personally and professionally making this endeavor all the more admirable.

As family members of 9/11 victims, we have been seeking truth and transparency since 200l. Almost nine years later, in spite of the NIST Investigation and the 9/11 Independent Commission, a vast majority of our questions remain unanswered.

It was always our hope that both of these government investigations would uncover the cause of the WTC destruction and any loopholes or lapses in security protocols that could be remedied to protect us in the future. In this case, it was of utmost importance to determine what actually caused the collapses to ensure the future safety of high-rise buildings. Since the government failed to do that, we applaud Mr. Richard Gage and the many other professionals who are spending their own time attempting to seek the truth.

Grassroots Organizing: A Vital Part of the 9/11 Truth Movement

Truth communities often start with an individual or several who invite friends and neighbors to watch a DVD.

The foundation for reforming government, media, and big business is rooted in local communities. The true power of a republic is consistent, informed participation on the part of its community members. Organizing on a grassroots level is essential to educate and engage the local population, who can then join with other communities as a collective force.

The 911truth.org grassroots communities encompass a geographical area, hold regular meetings with a core group and sponsor events in their local community. Over 280 groups across the US and 60 international groups are educating and organizing their local communities. Check the list of organizers; if there is no one in your local area I encourage you to become an organizer.

Many 911 truth supporters are educated about the facts on 9/11, but not in developing and growing these grassroots groups. It requires skills in interpersonal relationships, and group dynamics. The most common event has been showing a documentary at a small theater, a library or high school auditorium. They work together advertising and staging it. From these events, more people get interested and these communities of truth grow.
