NH News: Protesters outside Carol Shea-Porter's Congressional Office insist Trade Center attack probe flawed

DOVER, NH — Speaking up over the noise of passing cars and trucks on Washington Street Thursday, clinical psychologist Herbert Hoffman read through a list of evidence that the investigation of the World Trade Center attacks was deeply flawed.

"The scientific forensic facts we have discovered have troubling implications," Hoffman said, holding a list of the findings of the Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth, of which he is a member.

Several other members gathered with Hoffman outside Carol Shea-Porter's congressional office holding signs reading "9/11 Questions Still Unanswered," "Why wasn't Ground Zero treated like any other crime scene?" and "Honor the Dead: Demand the Truth."

The AE911Truth organization spans the country and was founded by Richard Gage. Press conferences like the one on Washington Street were held at 65 locations around the world Thursday, including Washington, D.C.

Gage prepared the statement for each news conference to read.

Hoffman said the group doesn't claim to know who is behind what they are calling an "assisted" explosion of the Twin Towers, but evidence from the aftermath points to such a theory.

"Both Twin Towers were completely dismembered and destroyed in 10 to 14 seconds," Hoffman read. "For this to happen, all 47 of their massive core columns, as well as a large fraction of their external columns, would have to be severed with explosives beforehand."

Among other points were accounts from first responders that they saw flashes of light and heard explosions at the onset of the destruction and that the 90,000 tons of concrete and metal decking demolished in mid-air was indicative of an explosion.

He also pointed out that building number seven, which was not hit by an aircraft, came down "in pure free-fall acceleration" for more than 100 feet; the implication of which, Hoffman said, is "the columns must have been severed within fractions of a second of each other."

The group said they have faced resistance in their quest to get congressional leaders and representatives to push for a re-investigation of the incident, including a "noncommittal" response from Shea-Porter.

They brought a petition into her office Thursday.

"We're asking for them to take leadership in reopening the investigation," said Hoffman, an Ogunquit, Maine resident who has taken the group's message to his own state senators.

When asked how people could comprehend the well-organized plot to demolish the Twin Towers that the group suggests, member Rob Stewart referenced the Manhattan Project to develop the first atomic bombs.

"That was kept secret," he said, adding he had been skeptical of such groups and demonstrations until he researched it further. "I would encourage everyone to take a look. It's really astonishing, and there's no other time that this could be more important than now, in a time of war."

The paper “Conspiracy Theories” by Harvard law professors Cass Sunstein and Adrian Vermeule is a warning for all 9/11 Truth groups. Although the paper is allegedly about conspiracy theory in a general sense, it is clearly centered on 9/11. I submit that this indicates a rising concern within certain powerful but ill-defined circles. Below is a self-explanatory segment from Sunstein’s Wikipedia page as well as Dr. David Ray Griffin’s new book, Cognitive Infiltration: An Obama Appointee’s Plan to Undermine the 9/11 Conspiracy Theory.

Sunstein co-authored a 2008 paper with Adrian Vermeule, titled Conspiracy Theories, in which they wrote, ”The existence of both domestic and foreign conspiracy theories, we suggest, is no trivial matter, posing real risks to the government’s antiterrorism policies, whatever the latter may be.”

They go on to propose that, ”the best response consists in cognitive infiltration of extremist groups”, where they suggest, among other tactics, ”Government agents (and their allies) might enter chat rooms, online social networks, or even real-space groups and attempt to undermine percolating conspiracy theories by raising doubts about their factual premises, causal logic or implications for political action.”

Sunstein and Vermeule also analyze the practice of secret government payments to outside commentators, who are then held out as independent experts; they suggest that ”government can supply these independent experts with information and perhaps prod them into action from behind the scenes,” further warning that ”too close a connection will be self-defeating if it is exposed.”

Sunstein and Vermeule argue that the practice of enlisting non-government officials, ”might ensure that credible independent experts offer the rebuttal, rather than government officials themselves. There is a tradeoff between credibility and control, however. The price of credibility is that government cannot be seen to control the independent experts.”

This position has been criticized by some commentators who argue that it would violate prohibitions on government propaganda aimed at domestic citizens.

Shortly after taking office on January 20, 2009 President Obama appointed Harvard law professor (and personal friend) Cass Sunstein to the post of administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. In June 2009 Sunstein published an essay in The Journal of Political Philosophy entitled “Conspiracy Theories: Causes and Cures,” in which he provided an “analysis” of conspiracy theories, viewing them, as his title indicated, as “caused” by psychological conditions and requiring “cures”, i.e., elimination.

The article led to an outcry by civil libertarians of all political stripes, who especially singled out for protest Sunstein’s call for covert “cognitive infiltration” by government agents of organizations the government deems “conspiracist”.

Because Sunstein explicitly states that “9/11 conspiracy theories” are his main focus, virtually all interpreters have agreed that Sunstein’s call for what is essentially another Cointelpro Operation is directed specifically against the 9/11 truth movement.

(Cointelpro, or “Counter Intelligence Program”, was the FBI’s name for its high-priority operations to infiltrate, provoke, undermine and disable civil rights, socialist, antiwar, black power and Native American movements during the late 1950s and the 1960s.)

The fantastic picture Sunstein paints of the 9/11 truth movement as “harmful,” “dangerous,” and likely to resort to “terrorism” suggests that he is serving a function similar to Philip Zelikow’s during the Bush/Cheney years; in his own way, Sunstein too is a “myth-maker.”

In his new book COGNITIVE INFILTRATION David Ray Griffin has provided the first truly adequate response to Sunstein’s deeply-flawed and legally-questionable arguments. Griffin penetrates the obfuscation and phony scholarship employed by Sunstein to create the illusion of a rational critique of the 9/11 truth movement’s alternative account of the events of September 11, 2001.

Griffin presents a series of ten theses put forward by Sunstein, and shows that each is fundamentally flawed. Further, he demonstrates that Sunstein is unable to avoid numerous self-contradictions, either explicit or implied, that together amount to an internal, hidden counter-argument to his own position, which Griffin, in a novel and entertaining approach, brings out as an ironic “esoteric” meaning of Sunstein’s essay.

Griffin demonstrates that Sunstein is completely unable to refute the major positions of the 9/11 truth movement, and doesn’t actually even try to do so. Instead, Sunstein has produced a pseudo-scholarly fake “analysis” as a basis for a call for the government to infiltrate and neutralize the movement through activities which create “cognitive dissonance,” clearly not the least bit different from the FBI’s Cointelpro operations.

But in so doing Sunstein has provided Griffin the means to demonstrate yet again that defenders of the official account of 9/11 actually cannot proceed by using reason and fact. They are forced to resort to disinformation, suppression of evidence, lies, illogic, threats and intimidation, always with the same result: failure. The more people study the events of 9/11 the more certain they become that the government and its media outlets are lying.

Sunstein’s essay appears to reveal that the government response to its ongoing failure will be to resort to illegal activities directed against people who are speaking out about the highest crimes carried out in the corridors of power.

The remarkably inept manner in which he makes his case suggests, however, that providing a rationale for such a future policy may not have been his real intention. Rather, it seems plausible that his purpose is to suggest that such actions have not even been considered before, let alone implemented, when in fact such operations have been ongoing since 9/11.

Griffin’s COGNITIVE INFILTRATION is a lucid and compelling exposure of the contempt held by the official defenders the 9/11 myth for dissenters who have seen through their Big Lie.

These officials expect that no one will be able to penetrate the murk of Sunstein’s latest defense of the pretext for the US wars of aggression in Afghanistan and Iraq, now covertly expanding into many other countries.

But with David Ray Griffin’s book, everyone who is concerned with bringing their carnage and criminality to a stop, as well as to reverse the rapid erosion of civil liberties in this country, will have no difficulty remaining clear-headed in the face of the “cognitive infiltration” carried out by the holders of high office and their agents.

In what may be the first of it’s kind in the nation, a group of 9/11 Truth activists organized, designed and paid for a commercial billboard in which 1,200 Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth invite the public to “Examine the Evidence.”

The 24’ (w) x 12’ (h) billboard was installed sometime Thurs. afternoon, Aug. 5, 2010 on South Higuera, just south of Elks Lane.

The activists who have brought this matter to the people of SLO County who drive by this area realize that the evidence we are attempting to share is difficult to digest. Many simply cannot bear to question 9/11, knowing somewhere deeply in the collective unconscious that the truth may be more than we can stand.

In order to understand the facts regarding the collapse of 3 modern, high rise buildings one has to free ourselves from our preconceived notions.

Of course to investigate 9/11 carries with it the burden of doing something about it. While this is true, no one is asking any one of us to save the world single handedly. It does not take long to get educated (just go to http://www.ae911truth.org/).

The volumes of evidence presented include a peer reviewed paper published by an international team of scientists that positively found unignited thermite in all 4 samples of World Trade Center dust they tested.

There has been no coverage of this paper in any of the mainstream press, including the so-called “Left media.”

AE911Truth Booths: Fairgoers Learn What Media Hasn’t Told Them About 9/11

Grassroots efforts in the form of inexpensive display booths are starting to make appearances in community fairs and festivals all over the country. AE911Truth volunteer Scott Beery led off with a bit more ambitious version of an AE911Truth booth, including TV monitors to display the Towers exploding, and Building 7 in freefall. See the article on this booth at the SF Power to the Peaceful Festival, just one of the many public events at which Beery brought the irrefutable 9/11 Truth evidence to the people through the unique features of his custom designed booth, and of course, the dedicated AE911Truth activists who staffed the booth.

Recently, many individual AE911Truth activists have taken it upon themselves to make the necessary arrangements with festival and fair authorities, and then bring banners and materials to set up their booths on the day of their respective events. In a grassroots fashion, two of these booths were organized, one by John Tobak, in Woodbridge, New Jersey, and the other by Scott Thompson, in Bellingham, Washington. Both had successful 9/11 awareness-raising projects with lots of visitors on the respective days of the fairs.

The Fairhaven Festival in Bellingham, Washington

As Scott Thompson reports, “the event in Bellingham on May 30 was the 'Fairhaven Festival,' celebrating the finish of their annual ’Ski to Sea’ relay race.”

The part of their display that got the most attention of the fair-goers was the free-standing poster boards that were set up for maximum visibility to the pedestrians strolling by. Chris Lyon constructed them from 4x4’s mounted on concrete bases, then attached poster boards to the 4x4 on one side in a flag style that extended out toward the walkway. These were impossible to miss and allowed most strollers to read many messages without committing themselves to enter the booth. Those that took some time reading them were greeted and offered discussion and handouts on their topic of interest.

It was a lively atmosphere with music and great weather. Thompson and Lyon intend to have another successful activist campaign again next year. You may not be the outgoing type like these activists but you can do something to raise awareness about the 9/11 truth. Everyone can email the AE911Truth.org link to all of one’s friends, colleagues, and family. Don’t be the one withholding this information from them. What will they say to you when they find out a year from now from someone else and ask you why you never told them? We are trying to save a country -- ours. Patriots are called to stand up and be counted. What else will you do? Will you wait for the next 9/11? No! “Speak out now -- for a time comes when silence is betrayal.”

A Street Fair in Woodbridge, New Jersey

On Saturday, May 15, John Tobak, and his friend Charbel Zogheib staffed a booth at a street fair in Woodbridge, NJ. Their 10’ x 10’ booth included an 8’ x 3’ banner: “Hundreds of Architects & Engineers Demand a Real 9/11 Investigation.” The current banner reads “1,000”!

Between 10:30 am and 5 pm, Zogheib handed out 400 of the “What the Government & Media Are Not Telling You About 9/11” brochures, and Tobak handed out 400 of the “Explosive Evidence” cards. Based on the fact that some people took both Zogheib’s brochure and Tobak’s card, they estimated that they gave AE911Truth literature to approximately 700 people.

The response that they received from the people was, in general, very positive. Many of them, including one woman who spoke through tears, thanked them for what they were doing. Others, of course, were not able to set aside their preconceived world view to allow such truths to even be imagined. Thus we do not reach everyone. But we reach those that can be reached. And this is the importance and the focus of our work together.

Their strategies were simple. Zogheib used an iPad to show people the controlled demolition of Building 7, and Tobak pointed to the photo of the exploding building on the front of an “Explosive Evidence” card and stated, “The Government says that this building is merely collapsing, not exploding. What does it look like to you?”

This dynamic duo is signed up to participate in more NJ street fairs this summer, including one on September 11. They hope that other people around the country will consider using street fairs as a way in which to spread the truth about 9/11.

AE911Truth Booth at SF Power To The Peaceful Concert

AE911Truth joined forces with the Northern California Truth Alliance headed by Carol Brouillet at a rally for 9/11 Truth in the Panhandle of Golden Gate Park on Saturday morning, September 12th. We then marched up Ashbury Street to Haight Street and up to Golden Gate Park with the AE911Truth banner "Hundreds of Architects & Engineers Demand a Real Investigation," where we entered into the arena of the Power To The Peaceful Festival. We set up the powerfully branded AE911Truth exhibit booth which drew a lot of attention throughout the day.

We distributed stacks of information about the evidence for explosive controlled demolition on 9/11 to a curious crowd.

I held a large banner that had printed on it "9/11 Truth Now," and was asked by some young people "…what is the truth"? It was virtually impossible to hold a conversation over the blaring speakers that rattled one's body even 75 yards from the stage, but shouting I did manage to convey the addresses of some websites for future reference and hand out the AE911Truth evidence-based "street brochures."

It was a great day and thousands of people saw our banners: "Open A New Investigation Into 9/11," "9/11 Truth Now," and "STOP The Cover-UP." The undercover cops were kind ⎯ asking if they could take our pictures.

Former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney dropped in and made a rousing speech that brought a roar from the ecstatic crowd.

Although the event was a big hit and enjoyed by so many, there continues to be a large number of peace advocates who are not particularly interested in our message "9/11 Truth brings Peace." This is the ongoing challenge we face in the struggle to open a real investigation, but progress is being made. Hopefully the sun will shine on us next year and we will hear some serious talk about the reality of the 9/11 problem that got us involved in the Middle East.

Shouldn't our tax-exempt "Public Safety Guardian" give us the truth?

By all accounts, the unprecedented events of September 11th, 2001 “changed everything”. It is therefore critical that conscientious Americans, as well as all good people around the world, understand these events in detail. Unfortunately the official reports, including The 9/11 Commission Report and the NIST WTC Report, written by those working under the direction of the Bush Administration, fall far short of providing the explanations needed.

Both the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and my former employer, Underwriters Laboratories (UL), seem to have taken the stance that the public does not have a right to know what fire resistance tests were performed on the steel component assemblies used to build the World Trade Center (WTC) towers. But since NIST’s latest story for collapse of the WTC towers depends on the fire-induced failure of these steel components, there is little information that could be more important at this time.

When I worked there, top management at UL made clear to me that UL performed these required tests. They have since stated that there is “no evidence” that any firm tested the steel. Being tax-exempt, due to their status as a public safety-testing organization, UL should be held accountable for being honest and open with the public about the history of their testing.

To help ensure this accountability, my attorneys and I have been pursuing legal actions against UL. We hope to gain more information about UL’s role in the testing of the WTC steel assemblies, and any other involvement UL has had with the WTC towers or the NIST investigation. We welcome any information or other support from the public as we attempt to provide this critical public service.

This is how it’s going to work:

There is overwhelming evidence that Building 7 was demolished with explosives, and that it did not collapse due to office fires as asserted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology in its 2008 report on Building 7.[1] Today, 1,200 architects and engineers, and millions of others like myself, are calling for a new investigation into the destruction of Building 7.

Most people have not seen footage of Building 7’s destruction, or they are unaware that it even occurred. This is perhaps the primary reason there has not been a real investigation to date.

WTC 7 NIST Model vs. Reality: This video shows that the NIST Report on WTC 7 is not representative of reality and cannot possibly explain the phenomenon which took place on 9/11.

The censorship of the 9/11 false flag seems to have slightly cracked lately, especially outside the United States, with Richard Gage, AIA, presenting the World Trade Center demolitions to large audiences and getting favorable media reviews in Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, and the Iranian government requesting that the United Nations investigate 9/11.

Evidently, our ultra-corrupt--or ultra-frigthened--congress and president are not ready to swallow 9/11 Truth. Some of them even claim ignorance of Building 7's structural failure. But how about forcing them to take a few baby steps? Like having them face the fact that any high school kid will agree that the official technical investigation into the structural failure of Building 7 is less than satisfactory?

Remember that 9/11 Truth holds the key to just about every political problem and is very worthy of a few minutes of your time.

C-SPAN touts itself as being a public service. Its morning show Washington Journal is often hailed as an open forum in which callers can ask questions of the guests, (who are usually public officials, journalists, or policy experts) free of the obvious spin with which the big networks like Fox, MSNBC, and CNN often mutilate discussion of the news.

At first glance Washington Journal seems different than the shows on mainstream networks, since there are no screaming pundits or fancy graphics to distract the eye, and the interviews with guests go on much longer. But like the mainstream networks, the mention of certain subjects are rabidly discouraged and those who bring them up are rudely smeared by the hosts (more so now than ever before), often getting marginalized after the caller is dropped from the line.

Such was the case on May 14th when former military officer, author, and terrorism investigator Michael Sheehan was a guest on the show.

In the video below various callers with questions about the deadliest events in recent American history, (with the exception of the wars that followed in which 9/11 was pushed as the justification) are given the establishment treatment by host Peter Slen, who attempts to stifle discussion of the issues, openly regarding these callers with smarmy distain despite the mainstream sources they mention.

The first call is about the Oklahoma City bombing. The rest are on 9/11.

Peter Slen isn't the only Washington Journal host who does this.

While the combative relationship between the media and the people who challenge the official stories of 9/11 and Oklahoma City is hardly a new phenomenon, as well as the use of the word conspiracy theorist as a catch-all smear to quickly brush off reasonable questions about these events, the above video demonstrates that despite its proclamation of neutrality C-SPAN stands beside the noisy mainstream media in its desire to bury any analysis of major events that doesnt stand in line with the governments official accounts.

The issue here is not the opinion of Michael Sheehan since hes obviously entitled to it, (though it is disturbing that a so called terrorism investigator doesnt know about the dancing Israelis that were arrested on 9/11 or that he cited an explanation for building sevens collapse that NIST itself has abandoned), but rather the clay feet C-SPAN stands on when it comes to being an open alternative to the obvious spin that is seen on other networks.

Perhaps further mention of the fake left/right paradigm should be be changed to include mention of the phony neutral as well.

9/11 Effort to go on Peterborough NH Town Article Voted Down 422-157.

PETERBOROUGH — Their petition article failed at the polls Tuesday, but the eight Peterborough members of the Monadnock 9/11 Truth Alliance say they are not backing down.

“We are delighted that about a third of the people think this was something worth looking into,” Karin Wells said. “We will continue to educate and tell people. ... It’s swimming upstream. It’s so hard.”

The petition article on Tuesday’s Town Meeting ballot asked voters to send a message to the government by asking the town to instruct the state Congressional Delegation to pursue a new and independent investigation to address thoroughly all of the evidence and unanswered questions related to the events of Sept. 11 2001.

“It’s simply to make noise and make people aware of it,” Wells said.

Voters said no, 422-157.

The eight Peterborough members — Karin and Peter Wells, Mike Casner, Jack Meagher, John and Carol Wyndham, and Jay and Kathleen Iselin — make up almost half of the 20-member Keene-based group, Monadnock 9/11 Truth Alliance.

“We’re pleased that Gov. [Walter] Peterson is among our ranks. We think that it’s an indicator of how more and more politicians are realizing the weight of this issue,” Jay Iselin said.

Peterson, who signed the petition, told the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript yesterday that he did not expect the petition article to pass, but that asking questions when you have doubts is always the right thing to do.

“You should question some things if they don’t make sense,” he said. “I don’t think it’s unpatriotic.”

Peterson said both he and his wife, Dorothy, decided to support the petition article after watching one of the videos of the collapse of the Twin Towers, which he said looks like a controlled demolition to them. “That raised questions because that’s not how a building would fall if it was attacked,” Peterson said. “Both Dorothy and I had viewed the video and there were certainly a lot of serious questions raised about what happened there.”

“Most people don’t want to bother. But I think if you raise a question, if you really have a doubt, you should say it,” Peterson said.

The members of the truth alliance spent Tuesday outside of the Town House asking voters to say yes to their petition and said they did change some minds, but they were also met with hostility from some voters who opposed the petition. “We’re presenting facts and they’re presenting attacks on our character,” Kathleen Iselin said.

Members said that despite their defeat they plan to continue their search for the truth and to educate the public on the issue. A movie series in Depot Square will continue, starting May 22, every Saturday from 9:11 a.m. to 9:11 p.m. The public is welcome to come, watch a movie about the 911, ask questions of group members and pick up literature.
